March 1

The ache of winter
fading with the calendar
the first day of March

For Ronovan Writes haiku poetry prompt #347: https://ronovanwrites.com/2021/03/01/ronovan-writes-weekly-haiku-poetry-prompt-challenge-347-ache-and-ease/#respond

Blue jays worry the morning
Crows rattle the sky
Chicka dees dee dee at the feeder
The wrens scold the juncos and the
gold finch begins to turn yellow
Hello, March
Carrying the ache of winter
yet in this season of mud
a hint of ease like sparrows
flying or doves cooing or how
bluebirds bring happiness
