
Nasturtium can still be
Charles Olson’s flower
and maybe like my mother
he instructed his daughter
to soak the little wrinkled
seeds in a custard cup of
water overnight, so they
would sprout quicker in
the sickly soil next to the
back door. Thinking of
the shades of orange and
the veiny round leaves of
July- this is my nose-gay now.
