Marathon training plans are generally between fourteen and twenty weeks long. The older I get the more grueling the training. Add in the heat and humidity of Tennessee and some runs just plain suck. The dawn chorus of birds, a lovely sunrise and the satisfaction of another long run complete just keeps me coming back for more even when my usual chant is “I’m never running another marathon.”
