Ronovan Writes Weekly Haiku Poetry Prompt #355

Cicadas are waaay ugly bugs that emerge out of the ground every 13 or 17 years. The males climb on trees, cling to the bark and make a LOUD buzzing noise to attract the females. Honestly, the word buzzing does not really cut it. Jackhammer may be more appropriate. Here in Tennessee July and August are the worst.

Seventeen year thrill
The cicada invasion
There’s no sad goodbye
